New Yorkers overwhelmingly want to keep term limits - but they are of a mixed mind on the possibility of Mayor Bloomberg's serving four more years, a poll found.

A Marist poll released yesterday showed 46 percent of 413 registered voters want the city's law changed so Hizzoner could run again, and 44 percent do not.

But 50 percent favor term limits, while 35 percent oppose them and 15 percent are unsure, the pollsters found.

Bloomberg yesterday announced that he wants to overturn the law limiting elected officials to two four-year terms and run for re-election.

Meanwhile, he scored a 68 percent job-approval rating and beat two likely mayoral candidates: Rep. Anthony Weiner, by 56 to 30 percent, and City Comptroller Bill Thompson, by 55 to 30.

The poll had a 5-point margin of error.
