"Guardian Angels" founder Curtis Sliwa tonight begins hosting a new three-hour radio show on a Boston station. Sliwa has been hired to host from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Boston's WTKK- FM (96.6). He'll handle the show from New York, where he'll continue to hold down two other airshifts at WABC- AM, 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. to noon.
Band from TV, founded by "Heroes" star Greg Grunberg to raise money for the National Epilepsy Foundation, will release its first DVD/ CD, "Hoggin' all the Covers," on amazon.com Oct. 26. Grunberg's fellow bandmembers Hugh Laurie, James Denton, Bob Guiney and Bonnie Somerville are all featured on the CD, which includes live performances of classic rock hits.
Former "Love Boat" star Jill Whelan will be at the Metropolitan Room (W. 22nd St.) for three Mondays - Oct. 6, 13 and 20 - with her show, "An Evening in Dry Dock." Whelan, who played Vicki Stubing on the ABC series, mixes comedy, music and show-biz gossip into her act.

* A memorial service is being planned for longtime manager/ producer Marty Fischer, who died suddenly last week at the age of 62. Jocelyn Brandeis (646-706- 0732) has more information.
* Linda Smith, who's written for Caroline Rhea, has been named Director of New Talent at Carolines.
* Fare deal: Congrats to MTV exec Tanya Giles and husband David on the birth of Malcolm David - who arrived in a Manhattan taxi on the way to the hospital!
