It's hardly a surprise that Scotland is full of scotches Americans have never heard of, let alone tasted. But in a rare twist, US tipplers have a chance to sample a Speyside single malt that's available only in the States. The Singleton of Glendullan, a distillery with a 110-year history of producing malts for classic blends such as Dewar's and Johnnie Walker, arrives here aged 12 years in oak casks that once held bourbon and sherry. The result is a zesty, surprisingly citrus-filled pour that, at $36 a bottle, is a relative bargain for the thrill of discovering a little-known gem.
