METALLICA frontman James Hetfield is really ticking off the residents of Marin County, the leafy area north of San Francisco where he lives. In response to what Hetfield told county officials was "vandalism," he put up a barbed-wired fence on his property, cutting off a fire road locals had been using for decades to access hiking trails. One neighbor told the San Francisco Chronicle, "This is really a slap in the face to the community." Hetfield didn't return calls.
