Two truck trailers stolen in Delaware full of bananas were recovered in The Bronx yesterday, with no fruit to be found.
About $40,000 worth of bananas were heisted, cops said.
"Someone's got a whole lot of potassium," said Delaware State Police Corp. Jeffrey Whitmarsh.
He said the trailers stolen on Thursday were found at about 2 p.m. abandoned on the side the road by an NYPD officer on patrol.
A check of the registration plates revealed the trucks had been stolen.
