Barack Obama is ready for his close-up.

Documentary filmmaker Davis Guggenheim, the Oscar-winning director of Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth," trailed Obama last week to gather footage for the Democratic National Convention in August.

An Obama staffer said "elements of what [Guggenheim] is shooting may be used" in August, but wouldn't say if a full-blown biopic is in the works.

Reports surfaced Friday that the campaign might move Obama's Aug. 28 coronation - coinciding with the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King's 1963 "I Have a Dream Speech" - to the 76,000-seat Denver Broncos outdoor football stadium from the 19,000-seat indoor Pepsi Center.

Obama staffer Jen Psaki said the campaign is working "to finalize plans" but wouldn't confirm the move.

Meanwhile, Obama - reportedly headed to Berlin, Germany, this month for a speech at the famous Brandenburg Gate, where Ronald Reagan gave his "Tear Down This Wall" speech in 1987 - will be in Manhattan this week with Hillary Rodham Clinton raising campaign funds.
