Sean Avery has broadened his horizons this summer, interning at Vogue magazine, getting nicknamed "Page Six Sean" and yesterday signing a four-year contract to play for the Dallas Stars. But the former Ranger will now have the opportunity to watch his namesake - Sean Avery the thoroughbred - make his career debut in the fourth race at Belmont today.

The 2-year-old colt by Cherokee Run is 6-1 on the morning line. Trained by Allen Iwinski, he will be ridden by John Velazquez. The horse has been working steadily at Belmont Park in the mornings for his career debut. Avery has been to Belmont to watch his namesake train and is expected to be at Belmont for the career debut.
