LONG before Madonna entered Alex Rodriguez's life, there was Monique. More details are emerging about A-Rod's fixation on the striking brown-haired Brazilian dancer four years ago. "He would come in maybe once a week if he wasn't on the road," Joe Goncalves, manager of the VIP strip club in Chelsea, told The Post's Dan Mangan. "He would go straight to one of our private rooms . . . She was the only girl he ever was interested in." He said the two "would stay at least for a couple of hours" in the room, which cost $900 per hour. The slugger stopped visiting the jiggle joint around the same time Page Six reported his fondness for Monique in 2004.
