Students at the Technical Career Institute are sending a 47-foot truck full of air-conditioning supplies and technicians to flood-ravaged Iowa.

The school has teamed up with the Truckers and Citizens organization on an aid mission similar to one they launched three years ago in New Orleans, TCI Professor Robert Lubell said.

The group will help repair air conditioners and refrigerators.

"Once the truck on West 31st Street is full, we will be heading off, along with professors of refrigeration and building maintenance," he said.

Anyone wishing to donate to the cause can call the school at (212) 594-4001.
