The Brooklyn Cyclones' owner owes the city nearly $130,000 for underreported attendance and special-event income, city Comptroller William Thompson charged in an audit to be released today.
The Brooklyn Baseball Co., which owns the Met minor-league team, underreported its Coney Island attendance by 28,031 fans in 2006, in part because it doesn't report bleacher seats, Thompson said.
The team claims that it has always excluded bleacher ticket sales and that the city knows that.
