An 18-year-old woman sought in a fatal shooting at a high school-graduation party in Newark this week has turned herself in to authorities.
Nicole Guyette was charged with murder, aggravated assault, and weapons charges in the killing of Sujeiti Ocasio, 18, early Friday.
She then fled the scene, and had been the subject of an intensive search by authorities.
Ocasio was slain just hours after she graduated from Barringer High School. At the time of the shooting, she was celebrating with some friends at her family's home.
Guyette was accompanied by a lawyer when she surrendered in Irvington shortly before 11 p.m. last night, according to Paul Loriquet, a spokesman for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.
