A teenager was decapitated by a roller coaster after entering a restricted area yesterday at Six Flags Over Georgia, authorities said.
The 17-year-old from Columbia, SC, had scaled two 6-foot fences and passed signs warning that the area was off limits and dangerous to visitors, spokeswoman Hela Sheth said.
Witnesses told Cobb County cops that the boy was trying to fetch a hat he had lost while riding the Batman roller coaster.
The ride was going full speed, at about 50 mph, when it struck him, police said.
