A teenager who had just graduated from middle school has drowned while swimming on Long Island, though his friends tried to save him.
Three teens flagged officers down yesterday afternoon and said their friend had disappeared while swimming in Reynolds Channel according to Long Beach City Police Sgt. Bruce Meyer.
The body of fourteen-year-old Leo Vann was found about a half-hour later.
