A rapist posing as a cop talked his way into a Queens woman's apartment and attacked her three times, demanding she get him a beer between each assault, authorities said yesterday.
Sources say Anthony Lane, 35, was captured after he fled the apartment screaming, with the woman in hot pursuit.
According to Queens prosecutors, the 37-year-old woman's ordeal began at 7 a.m. Thursday, when Lane knocked on the door of her Flushing apartment and told her, "Open the door. I'm the police."
Lane flashed what appeared to be a police officer's shield, but was actually a Sanitation Department shield, authorities said.
Once the woman let him in, Lane allegedly grabbed her by the arms and hair, tore off her clothing, threw her on a bed and raped her.
Then he allegedly ordered her to get him a beer. She complied, and after he drank it, he allegedly raped the woman a second time.
After that, he demanded and got another beer and raped her a third time, authorities said.
Finally, Lane stole an undisclosed amount of money from her and fled, they said.
But the woman ran after him. Another neighbor, alerted by the screaming, joined in the chase, tackled Lane, and held him until police arrived at about 10 a.m.
