One might think Liberty coach Pat Coyle would be living large today following her team's record-setting 105-72 win over Phoenix Sunday night. But Coyle knows there is no time for gloating.
"It's just one game," she said. The Liberty (6-5), winners of three of their last four, play at Minnesota tonight. The Lynx (6-6) have lost five straight, including a 77-76 setback to the Liberty, which broke the 100-point mark for the first time in franchise history.
Minnesota almost stole a victory in the Garden on June 14 when Coyle errantly called a timeout in the backcourt. The Liberty couldn't get the ball over half court in the allotted eight seconds allowing Lynx rookie sensation Candice Wiggins, who had a game-high 26, to get off a last-second shot that was perfectly defended by Essence Carson.
