Harvard researchers have uncovered a possible clue to the cause of Alzheimer's disease.
They caused symptoms of the brain-wasting illness in rats by injecting them with a specific form of protein found in the brains of Alzheimer's victims, according to findings reported in Sunday's online edition of the journal Nature Medicine.
They noted that mice injected with other forms of the same protein were symptom-free.
