WEIRD BUT TRUE

Talk about dedication.

A gas-station clerk in Michigan decided to stop a fuel thief from driving off without paying by jumping in his car. Problem is the guy kept on going.

Fortunately for 21-year- old Jessica Sudy, the man let her out a block away. Her boss asked her not to do it again.

It's disgusting - and it's illegal.

A former cook in Wisconsin pleaded guilty to putting pubic hairs on a steak after a complaining customer got on his nerves.

Ryan Kropp and another chef were fired. Kropp faces up to 31/2 years in prison on a food-tampering charge.

A Delaware man was busted after biting the face of a referee who had ejected him from a soccer match.

The incident came after the ref handed the player a red card for unsportsmanlike conduct.

After biting the ref, the man ran off but cops soon grabbed him.

Now this is cause for hiss-teria.

Tenants in an Australian apartment were shocked to find a 6-foot snake in their toilet. The black-headed python, as thick as a human wrist, was believed to have been living in the building's plumbing system.

"There is no possible other way it could have got there than through the toilet," said snake expert Chris Perberdy, who removed it.

In other reptile news, a stray alligator was found in the Chicago River.

A factory worker spotted the 5-foot-long reptile, which animal-care experts believe was a discarded pet that was feeding on the river's abundant carp.

The city has turned into a veritable wildlife kingdom in the past year - a coyote and a cougar were also caught while wandering its streets.
