The actor, rumored to be battling cancer, was joining wife Joanne Woodward to take in the sunshine Thursday afternoon. They headed a short way toward Central Park before ducking back inside.
Last week, the 83-year-old actor's neighbor and business partner, A.E. Hotchner, was quoted as telling The Associated Press that Newman had cancer and was "doing all the right stuff" to treat it. Newman, however, has neither confirmed nor denied a diagnosis and issued a statement saying only that he was "doing nicely."
