CRANE LAWSUIT SHOOTS FOR SKY

By DAREH GREGORIAN

June 21, 2008

The owner of an Upper East Side building destroyed by last month's crane collapse wants $100 million from those whose "recklessness, carelessness and negligence" led to the accident, which killed two workers.

In papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, the owners of the apartment building at 354 E. 91st St. assert that the owner and managers of the project at 1765 First Ave. could have prevented the mayhem.

The 200-foot-tall crane toppled over on May 30, leaving a three-story-high hole in the adjacent building.
