Hondo somehow managed to circumvent his Cub curse last night, scoring with a Ray play that ele vated the earnings to 405 treshes.
Today, he'll see if he can make it two straight in Small Bear games - 10 units on Lilly to snuff the Sox.
E-mailer Rodrigo Saenz hits the right note when he says Al Gore not only is endorsing Obama but also in tends to show him the finer points of hypocrisy, such as flying only in private planes while preaching envi ronmental preservation . . . Gore's house in Tennessee reportedly used enough energy last year to power 232 homes for a month. Judging by how Big Al has bulked up, it looks like his yearly food intake could feed the residents of those 232 homes . . . If nothing else, Al Gore is a carbon credit to his race.
