An MTA worker was snared in an NYPD online sting, accused of writing sexually explicit messages and trying to arrange a rendezvous with someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl.
Bruce Boland, 57, a track-safety officer and a volunteer with the North Merrick, LI, Fire Department, was charged with attempted dissemination of indecent material to minors and endangering the welfare of a child, according to the Queens DA's Office. He allegedly made arrangements for two hookups, but canceled both.
