SOCCER: Red Bulls settle for tie

Steve Ralston's goal in the 79th minute helped the New England Revolution (8-3-3) salvage a 1-1 tie with the Red Bulls last night in Foxborough, Mass.

It was the second 1-all tie the teams played this season.

Red Bulls captain Seth Stammler scored his first goal in three seasons in the 37th minute to put the Red Bulls (4-4-4) ahead.

TENNIS: Wimbledon draw set

Five-time champion Roger Federer and top-ranked Ana Ivanovic were seeded No. 1 for Wimbledon.

Federer is followed by No. 2 Rafael Nadal, runner-up at Wimbledon the past two years, and No. 3 Novak Djokovic, the Australian Open champion. Next is No. 4 Nikolay Davydenko, No. 5 David Ferrer, No. 6 and two-time finalist Andy Roddick and No. 7 David Nalbandian.

For the women, Ivanovic is followed by Jelena Jankovic at No. 2, former champion Maria Sharapova at No. 3, Svetlana Kuznetsova at No. 4, Elena Dementieva at No. 5, two-time winner Serena Williams at No. 6 and defending champion and four-time winner Venus Williams at No. 7.

BASEBALL: Cubs' Zambrano injured

In St. Petersburg, Fla., Cubs ace Carlos Zambrano is set to fly home to Chicago to be examined by a doctor after leaving the seventh inning of last night's game against Tampa Bay because of discomfort in his right shoulder.

* In Omaha, Neb., the top-seeded Hurricanes' high-powered offense just couldn't take advantage when it counted most, stranding a dozen runners and failing to hit a long ball in an 8-3 elimination game loss to Stanford in the College World Series.

NFL: Titans' Fowler denies steroid use

Titans linebacker Ryan Fowler denied he has taken performance-enhancing drugs, less than two weeks after his lawyer said Fowler received a letter from the NFL saying he was under investigation and faced a possible suspension.
