Post Wire Services

June 19, 2008

WASHINGTON - Barack Obama yesterday named a foreign policy panel to give him advice and possibly fill Cabinet posts if he is elected in November - and it's chock full of former Clinton administration bigs.

Among them are ex-Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, former Defense Secretary William Perry and former Secretary of State Warren Christopher.

Obama will consult with the group regularly between now and the Nov. 4 election in which he is facing Republican John McCain.

Other advisers are: Lee Hamilton, vice chairman of the 9/11 Commission; David Boren, former governor and senator from Oklahoma; Greg Craig, a former senior adviser to Albright; Richard Danzig, former secretary of the Navy; Eric Holder, deputy attorney general under Clinton; Sam Nunn, former senator from Georgia who chaired the Senate Armed Services Committee; and James Sternberg, deputy national security adviser to Clinton.
