Here's a new twist on "sic 'em."
A Bridgeport, Conn., man allegedly ordered his 9-foot pet python to attack two cops who were trying to arrest him.
The officers showed up after 21-year-old Victor Rodriguez's girlfriend reported that he had been threatening her with the snake.
Fortunately, the python did not obey his command, and he was arrested without further incident.
It was the greatest reprieve of all.
Scientists at the National Zoo in Washington have reversed a vasectomy on an endangered horse in the hopes it will be able to reproduce.
What we want to know is: Why perform a vasectomy on any endangered animal?
The Przewalski horse is native to the steppes of Mongolia and China and is endangered in the wild.

Two men caught with $372,000 in cash as they tried to drive into Costa Rica from Panama told authorities they were banana brokers and had the money to buy bananas.
At $1.65 a pound in Costa Rica, the men would be able to take home 225,454 pounds - more than would ever fit in the two-door sedan they were driving. Police are holding them on possible money-laundering charges.
A man and his dog miraculously survived a fall off a 200-foot cliff in Southern England while in a car.
When rescuers got to the car, the dog, named Zin Zan, was gone. He turned up two days later at home - hiding under the kitchen table.
