A heartless Long Island con man who swindled at least $11 million from elderly victims who handed over their nest eggs was sentenced yesterday to 5 to 15 years behind bars.
Widow Alice Oswald, 81, told Nassau Judge Jeffrey Brown that Peter Dawson "took every penny that I had. My daughter, I have nothing to leave her. He has no feeling for the people."
Dawson, a former investment consultant who promised rich returns to his senior clientele before pocketing the cash, did not apologize to the nearly dozen victims in the courtroom.
