I ATE MCD'S, LOST 90 LBS.

McDonald's is generally synonymous with "beefy," but one man has used the Golden Arches to slim down.

Chris Coleson, 42, has lost almost 90 pounds since December on a diet consisting solely of Mickey D's.

The Quinton, Va., businessman weighed 281 pounds when he vowed to shed fat. His wife, Tricia, was skeptical.

"I turned around to her and said, 'You know what, I can lose weight eating McDonald's," Coleson told The Post.

"If anybody is going to lose weight, the last place they would eat is McDonalds."

Of course, the 5-foot-8 father of two didn't melt down to a svelte 195 pounds on cheeseburgers.

"I went for the salads, the wraps, the fruits, the apple dippers," he said.

McDonald's said it's happy for Coleson's weight loss but had no interest in emulating the Subway chain, which used famous former fatty Jared Fogle as a pitchman.

"Our chief spokesperson is a clown and he's pretty good at it," said McD's rep Bill Whitman.
