Astronomers have found three "super-Earths" orbiting a sun-like star and believe there are many such planets out there - increasing the chances we'll find worlds that can support life.
The celestial trifecta announced yesterday is the most recent finding "super-Earths," called that because they're fatter than Earth but close enough in mass so that, under the right conditions, they could be habitable.
European scientists, who made the finding using a highly sophisticated telescope in Chile, said yesterday that the discovery of habitable planets could be a year or two away.
