TRENTON - New Jersey has moved to keep the wealthy out of health care programs for low-income residents.
A recent state audit found people earning as much as $295,000 enrolled in such taxpayer-funded health programs..
The Assembly yesterday approved legislation requiring the state to verify applicants' incomes. It now needs only the governor's signature.
