Six people who were allegedly buying and selling "marijuana" lollipops a block away from the Puerto Rican Day Parade route have been weeded out by the NYPD.
The pot-pop merchants were selling their goods on the corner of West 44th Street and Sixth Avenue at about 3 p.m. out of a green van that had Alabama license plates and was adorned with pictures of scantily clad women, cops said. They told undercover cops that the lollipops and Gummi Bear-type candy they were peddling contained the drug, law-enforcement sources said.
Three Alabama men were charged with criminal sale of marijuana. A man and a woman from Connecticut and another Alabama man were charged with possession.
