Just four days after Brooklyn's own Spider-Man stunned the city in his death-defying feat to scale the New York Times Building, Renaldo Clarke said he never once feared he'd be splattered like a bug on the pavement.

"I wasn't scared," he told the Post yesterday. "I was satisfied and relieved."

Clarke frowned at the notion that Spidey No. 1, Frenchman Alain Robert, who climbed the same 52 stories hours earlier, inspired him.

"I'm not a copycat. It was planned," Clarke said yesterday.

"It was a conscious decision to climb that building."

But, he admitted, "My arms are a little sore."

Aside from his arrest and his next court appearance for reckless endangerment and criminal trespass, Clarke said he had no regrets pulling a rush-hour stunt to publicize the nonprofit group "Malaria No More."
