A seemingly worried John McCain warned yesterday that Republicans could get swept away by a record-breaking Democratic fund-raising machine this fall unless the faithful help raise money to counter the onslaught.
"The Democrats and their liberal allies are building the most massive political fund-raising machine ever seen," McCain said in an appeal on behalf of the Republican National Committee's Victory 2008 fund.
