A Florida dolphin with a bionic tail and genuine spunk is making waves as an inspiration to others.
Winter the dolphin, who nearly died when tangled in a crab trap line, now swims with a plastic prosthetic tail. Young kids with disabilities, including amputees, and vets wounded in Iraq are among those who visit her.
"What people see in her is her fighting spirit," said David Yates, CEO of the nonprofit marine animal rescue center in Clearwater, Fla., where Winter lives. "She never says quit."
