The reputed acting boss of the Gambino crime family was granted $2 million bail yesterday - so he can go back to his $700-a-week job.
John "Jackie Nose" D'Amico has the salaried job with Big Geyser, a water-distribution company in Maspeth, Queens, said his lawyer Elizabeth Macedonio.
Claiming that it's a no-show job, prosecutors cited a recording of D'Amico supposedly telling a cooperating witness: "I gotta pay $700 [to Big Geyser]" to continue the ruse.
Brooklyn federal Judge Jack Weinstein, however, agreed with D'Amico's claim that he was actually saying on the tape: "I get a pay of $700."
