ST RACE - The Bruce Levine entry was going off at 1-5 prior to post time and there were bridge jumpers in the show pool, with over $107,000 bet on the entry. But then Count This Senora was scratched at the gate, reducing the field to four betting interests and causing all show bets to be refunded. While Classic Love did the dirty work up front, entrymate Chanced rated off the pace and, in the stretch drive, blew by the leaders for the victory.
RD RACE - Apprentices are usually taught to save ground throughout and, in this case, Victor Santiago learned his lesson well as he came through an opening on the rail to gain the lead and drew off to an easy score. Favored Red Hot Dawn was pushed throughout by Aflareandaprayer and had nothing left to hold off the eventual winner while ending up second.
TH RACE - Giant Storm had a troubled start and trailed the field for the early part of the race. Since this was a 10-furlong event, he had plenty of time to settle and get back into striking position for the lead. On the far turn, he tried to make his run but was caught wide. After straightening out, he came with a rush, but ran out of ground and ended up second best to March to Victory.
TH RACE - Despite getting checked at the start, Emirates of Dubai was able to recover quickly while trailing the field and then finish full of run to catch Dark Cheetah and gain the victory. Favored Quietly Mine ducked inside once a hole opened up and tried to gain the lead, but could only get up to be third.
TH RACE - Favored Rockon Rockoff was head strong early and dragged himself to race close to the early pace. The battle with his jockey Eibar Coa was a costly one for the favorite as he had nothing left in the stretch and faded back. Dos Hombres was able to get up on the rail to be second despite getting bothered slightly by Challengers Song in the stretch drive.
