The scion of a wealthy New York real-estate family was sentenced yesterday to 10 years behind bars on child-pornography charges, for viewing more than 1,000 images that included depictions of sadomasochistic sex and toddlers as young as 22 months.
Laurence Gordon, 46, a former partner at his family's Manhattan real-estate company, Digby Management, wept as he apologized to the court and his family for the "morally reprehensible" crime and "contemptible indifference to the suffering of others."
Gordon pleaded guilty three days into his trial.
