A Manhattan woman got a double dose of pain yesterday - first losing a civil suit and then getting smashed by a car after leaving court.
The saga began when Fran Gordon lost a suit filed by her landlord in Manhattan Supreme Court and was ordered to pay $68,000.
Gordon left the courthouse at 60 Centre St. around 4 p.m., and as she crossed the three-lane thoroughfare, she suddenly remembered some questions she wanted to ask her lawyer. She abruptly turned back and was hit by an SUV.
Gordon was in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital. The driver was not charged.
