A homeless man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Midtown last night, police said.
The unidentified man was walking around a construction barrier on Sixth Avenue between 53rd and 54th streets when he was hit at 11:15 p.m. He died at Roosevelt Hospital.
"Nobody knew he got hit by a car," said a nearby food vendor. "Then we saw blood."
