Hairy ants are overtaking east Texas.

Five counties around Houston have reported infestations of "crazy Rasberry ants" - named for legendary local exterminator Tom Rasberry- which are shorting out electrical boxes and crawling into computers by the thousands.

Doctors in Greece, treating a 9-year-old girl for stomach pains, found and surgically removed her embryonic twin.

The 2-inch long fetus had a head, hair and eyes, but no brain or umbilical cord.

Cops busted a bickering Tennessee couple for whacking each other with frying pans.

Heather and Samuel Newcome are both charged with domestic assault. They told Cumberland County cops that they got into an argument and hit each other with the cookware.

"Both parties had injuries consistent with both of their stories," Sheriff's Deputy Timothy Tutor said.

A Japanese company has built a solar-powered bra that can generate enough electricity to charge a cellphone or iPod.

It's the invention of lingerie maker Triumph International Japan Ltd., whose officials admit it won't be a big seller.

"People usually cannot go outside without wearing clothes over it," said Triumph spokeswoman Yoshiko Masuda.

Owners of a new hotel hope they'll make sweet music with movie buffs.

Beginning in July, guests will be able to check into the Austrian villa that was once home to the von Trapp family, of "Sound of Music" fame.

The Villa Trapp hotel near Salzburg was the family's home from 1923 to 1938, before they fled the Nazis.
