A Pennsylvania murder and rape suspect was busted in Manhattan in a stolen rental SUV - then briefly escaped near Central Booking, authorities said yesterday.
Ritchie Yaris, 26, of Philadelphia, allegedly took off after kicking open the door to a moving police car at Centre and Leonard streets Tuesday. He was nabbed half a block away.
Yaris allegedly shot dead a 19-year-old man at a Philadelphia car wash on April 21.
On May 11, he allegedly carjacked a couple in Bucks County, Pa., raping the woman while her companion drove - and then killing him and continuing to rape her. He was busted in Harlem in a stolen SUV, prosecutors said.
