Holy cow! One-ton, 6-foot-6 Chilli is milking all the publicity he can get as Britain's presumed tallest cow.

The strapping steer, who is the size of a baby elephant, towers over his herdmates at the Ferne Animal Sanctuary in Chard, Somerset.

"We are convinced he is the biggest, so now we have applied for him to be entered in the Guinness Book of Records," sanctuary spokeswoman Jo Fox told the British paper The Guardian.

Normal, grass-fed bovines top out at 5 feet.

Chilli, pictured with keeper Tara Nirula, arrived at the sanctuary nine years ago, when he was 6 days old and "is lucky to still be alive," Fox said - meaning he should have been hamburger by now.
