BUDGET KOS BRONX BRIDGE

By BILL SANDERSON

May 12, 2008

A planned Bronx bridge has been dropped from the city's capital budget.

The 512-foot-long East 153rd Street bridge would have spanned the Metro-North rail yard east of Franz Sigel Park. It was expected to cost $91 million.

City officials decided to put off the project because of budget priorities.
