NFL: Ravens brawl at minicamp
The Ravens are doing more than merely fighting for jobs at their first mandatory minicamp Owings Mills, Md. under new coach John Harbaugh. They're fighting each other, too.
Nearly all 85 players in camp were involved in a squabble that began when offensive tackle Oniel Cousins and defensive tackle Amon Gordon threw punches after running back Allen Patrick was taken down hard on a burst up the middle. All the players surged toward the middle of the field, and it was nearly two minutes before peace was restored.
ARENA FOOTBALL: Dragons win thriller
Monty Montgomery's interception with 2 seconds remaining sent the visiting New York Dragons to a 52-48 win over the LA Avengers last night.
Quarterback Aaron Garcia was 21-of-35 for 208 yards and six touchdown passes with two interceptions for the Dragons (6-4).
MLB: Ramirez, Marlins near new deal
Star shortstop Hanley Ramirez has agreed to the framework of a $70 million, six-year contract to remain with the Marlins, a person familiar with the negotiations said.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity to The Associated Press because the deal hadn't been completed. It's expected to be announced next weekend when the team returns home from a seven-game trip.
GOLF: Sorenstam takes lead
Annika Sorenstam shot her third consecutive nearly mistake-free round, and her 2-under 69 at the Michelob Ultra Open in Williamsburg, Va. signaled that she may be ready to give Lorena Ochoa a run for No. 1 again.
NHL: Lemaire to stay with Wild

TENNIS: Roddick withdraws from semifinal
In Rome, Andy Roddick (back) and Radek Stepanek (wrist) retired from semifinal matches at the Rome Masters, setting up a final between Stanislas Wawrinka and Novak Djokovic.
* In Berlin, Elena Dementieva beat second-ranked Ana Ivanovic 6-2, 7-5 to reach the final of the German Open.
FORMULA ONE: Massa on pole
Felipe Massa of Ferrari won the pole position for the Turkish Grand Prix for the third straight year.
