A Brooklyn man accused of killing a 3-year-old girl during a drunken shooting rampage told his girlfriend in a phone conversation from jail that he didn't intend to hit that child - because he was aiming at hers.
"He said he was aiming after my son," Jacqueline Warren, 43, testified in Brooklyn Supreme Court of the call, a year after the shootings. "And I asked him why. He said, 'Because he was trying to come between us.' "
Her ex-beau, General Lee Waiters, 38, was celebrating his birthday with too much Bacardi when he got into an argument with Warren's adult son, Lorenzo.
Prosecutors say he shot and wounded Lorenzo and his sister, killed the toddler, Tajmere Clark, and injured his girlfriend's aunt, Mary Clark.
