'WRECKER' AN ISLE

The Islanders yesterday signed right wing Joel "The Wrecker" Rechlicz to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The 6-4, 220-pounder, who turns 21 in June, split 2007-08 between Albany of the AHL and Kalamazoo of the IHL. He played 25 games for each club, combining for one goal, one assist and 206 penalty minutes.

He'll attend the Isles' mini-camp in July.
