Comments: 125It's not exactly hard-hitting journalism, but President Obama said yesterday he had a good reason for sitting down with the gabby ladies of the late-morning chatterfest "The View."
Obama -- who yesterday became the first sitting president ever to appear on a daytime talk show -- said he wanted to be on a program his wife actually watches.
"All those new shows, she's like, 'Eh, let me get the clicker,' " he told the co-hosts at ABC's Upper West Side studios.
Obama's entire interview will air today, but the network released parts of it last night.
At one point, Barbara Walters, the grande dame of the gabfest, asked Obama what had been the highs and lows for his family over the past few months.
As a high point, the president cited vacationing in Maine, where he and First Lady Michelle got to spend time with daughters Malia, 12, and Sasha, 9, away from the pressures of the White House.
"The girls are getting old enough now where they're not quite teenagers yet, so they still like you. They are full of opinions and ideas and observations and it's just a great age," he said.

He blew off speaking to the thousands of Boy Scouts at their annual jamboree in Virginia to be on this show... everyone has their priorities. Great role model we have in the White House.

I don't think many Independent or Republican women watch this mess of a show. I saw the clips on the news last night and Joy's questions were as idiotic as usual.

Barry, how can Michelle watch the show when she's off vacationing in Spain? You know the vacation she's taking before you go vacationing in Martha's vineyard?

"ah, ETHICS! msnbc is reporting that RIGHT NOW the u.s. cannot account of over EIGHT BILLION DOLLARS in Iraq. this money came from U.S. taxpayers!!!!!! just who is this administrtion setting up financially for generations to come???? FOLLOW THE MONEY."
but EXACTLY where is ALMOST NINE BILLION OF U.S. HARD-EARNED MONEY???? get involved people; ask the right questions and demand answers that add up.
making a stink about Charles Rangel is only to divert attention from this and other more important stories. democrats will suffer whether charlie makes a deal or not because nancy took too long to rectify the situation.
ask the right questions and demand answers that make sense. we are being taken to the cleaners for generations to come."

Obumbler showed up on this idiotic show because he knew he would get fawned over. This idiotic show represents the "deep-thinking" of liberals.
