Cops check 'slay-mom' laptop

PrintCops probing the Peninsula hotel slaying of an 8-year-old boy are scouring his mother's laptop and other electronic devices after she confessed in a rambling e-mail that she poisoned her son to protect him from a life of sexual abuse.
Gigi Jordan, 49, remained in Elmhurst Hospital's psychiatric ward yesterday after her failed suicide attempt and is awaiting charges that she fatally poisoned her son, Jude, last Friday with prescription pills in a suite at the upscale Fifth Avenue hotel.
Jordan wrote letters to a sex-crimes investigator more than two years ago saying her autistic son was being abused by a cult.
